Afghanistan winter relief

The focus of our charitable work is in Pakistan, but we can not sit idle and sleep well at night when people around the corner are freezing to death. This is exactly what is happening right now in Afghanistan. Afghanistan is experiencing one of the coldest winters in years and dozens of people have already frozen to death. The ones who died were mostly children of internally displaced persons who live in tents and mud-huts in Kabul.

Islamic Relief has engaged its team to help the suffering people of Afghanistan.  They are providing families with vulnerable members, infants, young children and the elderly, with food and other necessary items to help them survive the winter. You can find out more about Islamic Reliefs’ activities in Afghanistan at http://www.irusa.org/emergencies/afghanistan-winter-relief/.

QWP donors have already made a very small donation of $500 to help the children of Afghanistan through Islamic Relief. You can also donate at the Islamic Relief website.
