Qidwai Welfare Projects re-branded as Qidwai Welfare Trust

Qidwai Welfare Projects (QWP) has been incorporated and re-branded as Qidwai Welfare Trust (QWT). Qidwai Welfare Trust is a regulated and registered trust in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Effective immediately, all existing QWP projects will be migrated to QWT, and all of our future projects will pursued under the new identity.

The primary aims and objectives of the Qidwiai Welfare Trust will be as follows:

(A) To provide for the establishment, construction, maintenance, operation and/or management of orphanages, religious educational institutions, schools and other educational / vocational institutions and to provide low cost or free education to the poor and the needy;

(B) To assist deserving and needy students by making contributions towards their school and college fees, books and other expenses by means of prizes, scholarships and/or loans on easy terms and according to the criteria determined by the Trustees;

(C) To assist any educational or other institution by providing coaching, guidance, counseling, financial assistance, sponsorship of students and teachers, provision of materials and equipment (e.g. furniture, fixtures, IT equipment, books etc) or vocational training for the betterment of its students;

(D) To provide for the establishment, construction, maintenance, operation and/or management of water wells, hands pumps, mosques, shelters for homeless, poor and victims of natural calamities and to provide all reasonable financial or other assistance required in this regard;

(E) To provide medical aid and assistance to the needy and poor and, for that purpose, to establish, own, setup, acquire, manage, maintain and operate medical camps, clinics, hospitals, dispensaries, nursing homes, laboratories, drug stores and to secure the services of, engage and/or employ doctors, surgeons, pathologists and other specialists, nurses, dispensers and other medical and administrative staff;

(F) To give financial, or other assistance in kind, by way of distribution of clothes, medicines, tents, cooked meals, food packs, safe drinking water, or any other items for the poor, needy, orphan, handicap, elderly and to persons suffering due to natural calamities, natural disasters or man-made calamities like war and aggression;

(G) To afford relief of distress to poor persons free of charge or otherwise, and to donate, contribute and participate in any scheme, fund or arrangement for the benefit of the poor and needy;

(H) To purchase, acquire, sell and/or lease properties of all kinds for the advancement of the objects of the Trust mentioned herein, including, but not limited to, use of the properties for public good by making it/them available for public purposes, for example, housing, hostel, clinic, hospital, orphanage, school, library and/or as a community hall to be available for public use such as training classes, seminars, discourses and other public functions for benefit of the community in general;

(I) To enter into arrangements, cooperations and contracts with international or local organizations, governmental and/or non-governmental bodies and entities; appoint agents, attorneys and constitute offices of the Trust;

(J) To open and operate bank accounts; invest and disinvest monies of the Trust; obtain loans, grant loans, engage in micro-financing, micro-partnership, micro-leasing, advances, scholarships, stipends, gifts, aid, donations and other finances;

(K) To encourage and foster goodwill among the general public; found and develop libraries; print, publish, circulate useful information and conduct surveys; and

(L) To undertake all such other acts, deeds or things incidental, conducive, necessary and prudent for the attainment and advancement of the objects aforementioned.
