In July 2012, Mudaser Qidwai and some other QWP donors visited the Orphan Homes in Naval Anchorage, Islamabad. During the visit they held multiple recreational activities with the children, including a cricket match with the older boys, question and answer session with the younger kids, a trip to the ice cream parlour, etc….
During the visit they were also involved in the interview and admission of 6 new orphan girls, the interview of a new full-time supervisor and the establishment of a children library at the orphan homes. Initially, 93 Urdu children books and 36 English children books were procured. More books will be added to the library in the future.
During the visit they also distributed Eid cloths to the children and gave cash Eid gifts to the foster mothers and other employees at the orphan homes.
